RHS Awards Ceremony 2026

The James T Reedy Sr Scholarship Fund is pleased to announce that sixteen Class of 2026 scholars from Reading High School / Reading Muhlenberg Career and Technology Center received our award!

JTR recipients will be attending colleges including Alvernia University, Bryn Mawr College, Kutztown University, NYU, Penn State University, Pennsylvania College of Technology, Reading Area Community College, Shippensburg University, Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, Villanova University, West Chester University and Wesleyan University.

Each scholarship winner was awarded a high-quality computer system and an invitation to participate in the JTR Mentor program. The Mentor Program helps JTR scholars achieve their academic and vocational goals in their college years and beyond.

The awards were presented at the RHS Scholarship Awards Ceremony held May 17th at the new STEM-focused RHS Innovation Academy. Attached is the video that captures the JTR awards made to the scholars in front of a packed audience of family members, guests and educators.

JTR Scholarship Fund President Stephen Reedy offered remarks on the power of helping others in their pathway. JTR Board Member and JTR Mentor Holly Smith presented the awards to each of the sixteen recipients. Holly has enjoyed a decades-long career as an educator in the Reading School District and at Alvernia Univ.
